The nearest largest supermarket is WalMart which is approximately 6 miles south on Highway 27. In the same area are further food outlets a Walgreens Drug Store and a Blockbuster Video store for Video/DVD hire. Another very good supermarket for food is the Publix which is situated close to our Management company at ChampionsGate. (directions available in villa folder) RESTAURANTS Within a 2 minute drive north on Highway 27 there are numerous food outlets. They include Denny’s, Bob Evan’s, Perkins, Wendy’s, New York Pizza World, Waffle House, Taste of China, Burger King & McDonalds. Drive 5 minutes south on H27 takes you to McDonalds, Burger King, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Popeyes. In addition you will find many restaurants and other local amenities on Highway 192. www.kissimmee-us192.com/map/map1/kiss192map1.htm#1btm PETROL/GAS The nearest petrol/gas station is just 1/2 mile north on Highway 27. Another couple of miles further north there is a Citgo Gas/Petrol station that sells UK newspapers SHOPPING MALLS There are numerous shopping malls in the area, but the nearest Mall is Eagle Ridge which is an easy 20 minutes drive south on Highway 27. The main shops are Sears, JC Penny and Dillards with many smaller ones together with a large food court. The largest mall in the Orlando area is The Florida Mall situated on Orange Blossom trail. Others include the Belz factory outlets which are at the northern end of International Drive. More details can be found by visiting www.go2orlando.com/shopping AIRPORTS Transfer from the airports are approx.: Orlando International 30 minutes; Sanford 50 minutes and Tampa 60 minutes. Make sure when traveling to and from the airports to have small bills for the few tolls you will come across. TELEPHONE & INTERNET All telephone calls from the villa are free, whether they are local, long distance or international. This also includes modem access for those who wish to bring their laptop.
