FLIGHTS

Scheduled

Scheduled Airlines will fly you either direct into Orlando International and Tampa or to somewhere like Washington, Chicago, Houston, Charlotte, Maine etc where you will then take an internal flight.

Indirect flights are usually cheaper than direct flights but stopovers should be checked with care, as the total journey time can be extremely arduous.

It may be worth paying that little bit extra for a direct flight, especially if you are traveling with young children or older relatives, or it is possible that Chartered Airlines would be cheaper still (see below).

Scheduled flights can be arranged with, amongst others, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, America Airlines, United Airlines, Delta Airlines, Continental Airlines (who code share with Virgin), and can be for any number of days i.e. 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 etc.

Chartered

Charter flights fly direct into Sanford Airport and are usually cheaper than indirect scheduled flights.

Upgraded seats can be purchased on some airlines and apart from the comfort factor, there is usually a dedicated check in which makes life much easier (and quicker). Upgraded charter flight seats can compare very favourably with the price paid for an economy seat on a scheduled flight.

Chartered flights can be arranged with, amongst others, My Travel, Air 2000, JMC, Britannia and Monarch and are usually only available for periods of 7,14, 21 days etc.
